Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1994 (originally under the name Kara’s Flowers). The current lineup includes vocalist/guitarist Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton and Sam Farrar. They broke through in 2002 with their debut album as Maroon 5, Songs About Jane, featuring hit singles like “This Love” and “She Will Be Loved,” and went on to sell over 135 million records worldwide—making them one of the best-selling music acts of all time.
